The Ehlers-Danlos Society is holding its annual Global Learning Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2022. The three-day event is targeted at community members, and healthcare professionals who are interested in learning from a lay perspective. The conference theme is the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) and hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD) through a lifetime.

The Ehlers-Danlos Society are delighted to be hosting The International Scientific Symposium on the Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD). This will be a state-of-the-art meeting in which new research on clinical advances and the molecular and pathogenic mechanisms underlying EDS and related syndromes will be discussed. We will translate the event live into 3 languages from English – Italian, Spanish, and French.

University of Salford resilience showing strength in the face of adversity The University of Salford Midwifery Society has announced the 4th annual student-led conference, ‘Resilience: showing strength in the face of adversity’ focusing on the theme of resilience.

The ‘Resilience: showing strength in the face of adversity’ conference will be highlighting the challenges maternity services are facing from cost-cutting measures to meeting high demand.

There will also be an opportunity to learn ways of coping with challenges, as well as celebrating the achievements of midwifery professionals.

All Coventry University academics and research students are invited to a free talk organised by the Research Excellence Unit as part of the wider research impact agenda.

This symposium will explore how researchers and academics can maximise their academic potential and impact via social media. The session will focus on building your online presence, how social media can be used for research purposes and engaging with the right social media communities. This session will be run in conjunction with colleagues from Coventry University and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and will focus on the impact staff engagement and experience has on organisational performance, specifically patient experience. The session is aimed at commissioners and policy makers, and will outline why staff experience is so important, as well as offer examples from an organisation has has improved staff experience to great effect.
